Our Ideas for Tomorrow

Clausen, Uwe - ITL klein

“The Institute of Transport Logistics (ITL) is active in a broad range of questions relating to goods transport and traffic. Our focus lies on logistics nodes and the respective transport chains in which they are embedded. To resolve those research issues we have been successfully applying the methods “mathematical optimization”, “simulation” and “process management” for several years now.“ - Managing Director Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Clausen

“Our objective is to pervade logistics research questions from a holistic perspective and to work on them integrating and collaborating across multiple disciplines. At the ITL we are dealing with request-based and user-oriented projects as well as addressing basic research. We are supported by several foundations and other research funding sources, including the European Union, German Research Foundation (DFG), Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Arbeitsgemeinschaft industrieller Forschungsvereinigungen (AiF) and Stiftung Mercator.“ – Chief Engineer Dipl.-Logist. Sven Langkau
