E-Mobility

E-mobility includes the combined use of hybrid and electric powertrain technologies, information and communication technologies as well as the use of intelligent and connected infrastructures. In addition, powertrain technologies include full electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, as well as hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Motivated by the need to address fuel efficiency, emissions and market demands for lower operational costs as well as the assessments of the Federal government electro mobility has the chance to engender a change in commercial transport systems towards sustainable solutions. Therefore, the ITL is conducting research in the aforementioned areas with the aim to enhance the market penetration of electric vehicle fleets. The following presentation provides an overview of current technologies, practice examples and the needs of future solutions.
